Wedding Accessories

Wedding accessories are many but choosing the right one is important. Let’s begin with considering various accessories that a groom can select from.

1. Safa
Safa’s are considered as a crown and a wedding groom is considered as the king on the wedding day. Crowns define a king. It is hence important to get the right crown i.e safa for the king. You can start selecting by understanding the type of ethnic wear the groom is going to wear. Then based upon the color of ethnic wear you can choose if you want to match the safa color or you want a different contrasting shade. Try using both options. To better match try your safa along with the ethnic wear itself. If it all matches well. You are good to go.
2. Dupatta
Dupatta’s are usually accompanied along with Sherwani’s. Itwork as an add on & gives a royal feel to the groom. You can wear it in many ways. It can be wored around the neck which accompany’s the sherwani or can be wored around the neck & a hand to give it a royal look. Color & material can be selected according to the sherwani. For sherwani’s with colors like cream, white, beige dark vibrant color dupatta’s like red, green, etc can be used & for dark colored sherwani’s light color dupatta like cream, beige, etc. can be used.
3. Mojdi
Mojdi’s can be considered as an accessory or probably it can be considered as a necessity. Specially when the bride’s sister are behind it one can select a mojdi which relates to the fabric of ethnic wear or can select a mojdi which relates to the safa. It’s always better to buy two mojdi’s just in case one is taken away by the bride’s sister. Some hand work on the mojdi would make it look a bit more attractive. If its all done. You are good to go.
4. Mala
A pearl mala can be used by a groom to create a different look. Some groom’s opt for it some don’t. It all depends upon the groom’s attire & choice. A mala with simple design & some pearls is enough for a groom to look attractive. It’s always better to try it along with the ethnic wear. One must also be sure that it does not obstruct the design of the ethnic wear. A simple sherwani with less design work is usually preferred while trying a mala for the groom. White & beige color pearls are the most preferred. Other bright vibrant colors are also available which can be selected according to the need.
